Why would they do that? Once one takes a lead the window shrinks. Once one is behind the window enlarges. The windows work as intended.

Oh the timing issues are a huge complaint but SDS won’t do a [censored] thing about them.

I've noticed the initial timing window sometimes doesn't match the secondary one. I honestly try not to focus on them too much.
